Quietus
As it became more and more apparent that my grandfather, whom I referred to my entire life as Pepa, was nearing the end of his life, I began to think about what it meant to be alive, and more importantly, what it meant to die. Having a life-long love of science, I found comfort in the notion that everything that lives will expire, and that our bodies are merely vessels for something greater. The images in this series are a documentation of my exploration of mortality, as well as spirituality and family.
